Couple of "5.0" emblem add-ons

To those who subscribe to the "more is more" rule of thumb, I came across these emblems on eBay. I feel if you're gonna do it, it looks a lot better this way, almost as if it is factory. Check them out!

I picked up the supercharger ones over the winter and painted them black and the lettering red.

i asked the seller if it is possible to separate the two without having to remove the existing emblem and just adding the other one on

Nice, how do you get the lettering to look perfect?

I bought my supercharged emblem separate and used my factory 5.0 emblems.

I used an outdoor latex red paint. I first painted it black then I added a few coats of the red. After I filled in the lettering each time I used alcohol to wipe the red off of the black with a rag wrapped around a straight edge.

I'd like to dumb-down my exterior chrome and replace it all with billet aluminum or satin. I found 5.0 billet fender emblems, no luck with the running pony or deck panel. It's all or nothing.

If I can't do the complete look I might just replace the 5.0 emblems with rectangular Powered By Ford badges.

I know the feeling. My grille pony will be the only bright work left on my car when I get it back. I'm toying with adding the same one to my RTR decklid, a la 2015 EB and Need for Speed cars, or doing the CDC grille and be completely badgeless!

If you have a '14, the 5.0 emblem has two post holes behind it. And they are in a really bad spot for replacing that emblem. I've been looking to change over to a 302 emblem but there is nothing out there that will cover those damned holes.

Patrick, do they make one that's all flat black already instead of Chrome?

Good luck in finding them in black. I searched all over the net and all I could find were the natural billet color.

This site is showing the black add-on emblems:

I was thinking of having something similar custom made, but we’ll see where that idea goes ...

John... thanks for the response.

That link you posted, I've seen that before, but dang, they're much more expensive eh? 65 bucks for a pair of just the "Supercharged" emblem? The previous link was 25 bucks for 4? (2 5.0s and 2 SC)? Maybe I just go with the cheaper one and plastidip

Btw, that custom made one... that's AWESOME. Gotta love the DARK SIDE. Let me know if you get it done, where, and how much. I might go that route too.

Burton, will do! I've sent a inquiry to: http://think3d.biz/main/index.html

(I've used Thomas once before and was happy with his work and pricing)

Update: Be careful about the e-bay ones. I thought they would be "Billet", but they were plastic with a chrome paint. I ordered the black ones from the Billet Pro Shop, much nicer and real billet.

Anyone know if they make the real billet ones for a 2015 5.0?, And where to purchase them? Thanks.
