Cost estimate for 2011 GT?

Does anyone know the ballpark cost for a 2011 GT with basic options?
Seeing how the 2011 Fiesta is $21k well equipped (SES Hatchback), I'm not sure the new GT is going to be as affordable as the 2005-2009 GT.

We will not know until its released by FORD, as that is the one thing that may change up until the very end.

Not sure, but you will be able to easily pick up some low mileage 2010 GTs for nearly nothing...after all, the 2011 GT will leave them in the dust!

Not interested in the 2010, I mainly want to know how much it will cost to get a 2011 GT with 412+ hp from the factory.

Thats what I'm thinking for a GT as well. Ford would be daft to price it higher than the Camaro especially if they are trying to stunt the sales success of the F5.

Base price should be under $30,000.

I'll bet it's within $1K of the current price.

oh and not to be a nit picker or get the thread off topic, more of a FYI type deal, the stang sales are still higher than the F5 in '09

You won't see rebates or 0% financing for a long time.

This is an interesting scenario to consider:
2010 GT Premium MSRP $36,000 less discount=$30,000 add Whipple $6500 and drag radials $500=$37,000=500+HP
VS
2011 GT Premium MSRP $37,000 (approx) little or no discount=412HP
and who will leave who in the dust for the same or less money spent?

I bought my 2010 GT convertible up here in Canada for $13,000 off MSRP.......imagine the possibilities and the mods one can do with that kind of savings.
But the 2011 should be an awesome car bone, stone, stock!!! Sticky tires will be a must.

Huh. That IS very interesting. Dammit you!! I knew the discounts on the 2010s were around, and I knew the FRPP Whipple option is there. But now it's too late to order a 2010. Time to search the net
for one I'd be happy with. Crap. I want the new 5.0 though. What to do now?!?

Give me a few minutes to scan and post the documents....then you can apologize afterwards. My car was a Ford corporate demo with 2600 miles on it (4180km).

Here you go. My window sticker and sales receipt. At retail the price with tax and the maintenance package works out to just over $53,000 and I paid $39,055 total.
MSRP $48,328
Doc Fee$299
WinEch$299
Mant Pkg $1790
plus 5% Sales Tax = $53,251.80 Total retail price.
I paid $39,055 total all in.
Total Savings of $14,196.80 off retail, pretty good I'd say.
Keep in mind I live in Canada and they hose us on pricing. MSRP on my car in the USA is just over $41,000 if you price it out on Ford's website. I blocked out the last part of the serial and my personal info. Apology please!!
I should have bet you pink slips.....I never BS!!

That's a good point. It looks like the V8 Camaro is anywhere from 30,745 to 33,745. So, the 2011 5.0 Mustang should be close to that. Which is getting a little high.

However, perhaps they will be giving a discount in August in order to clear the 2011 Models out ffor the 2012? What do you think? Would it worth waiting for a few months? Or will the 5.0's be so popular that there won't be any left?

It's new to me. My point is that there are some great deals out there on the 2010's(new and low mileage) and with the money you save you can mod it for less overall cost than a 2011 and have more HP.
It's just another option to consider. If you have the budget I'd say go for the 2011 but if you don't there are alternatives.
Oh and Dave07997S also consider that many of us Mustang guys are on a tighter budget than Porsche 997S(sweet car by the way) drivers like yourself and look for ways to maximize our performance per dollar spent.
