My favorite is the Hotchkis (Bullitt-style).
I loved this quote from that article:
I loved this quote from that article:
The Ford Mustang is officially the “Hottest Car” at the 2013 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show. The award recognizes the most popular vehicles SEMA members feature in their displays at the organization’s week-long trade show in Las Vegas.
Before this year’s show opened, SEMA officials walked the floor of the giant aftermarket expo and counted the number of new 2013 and 2014 cars and trucks exhibited in booths. More Ford Mustangs are on display than any other car – a testament to the popularity and appeal of Ford vehicles.

Gotta say that I'm partial to Marc Sorger's NASCAR-powered '08 Mustang AIX that he put together at The Mustang Shop in Auburn, WA (just a few miles from my house). I've known Marc for 5 years and used to drag race against him with my '07 GT when his '08 GT was nearly stock! We both ended up supercharging our GT's, compared notes along the way, kept racing each other, and he started beating more badly with each passing race day!
Watching him transform this '08 from a 13 second street car, to strip car that ran a 9.97 1/4 mile with a bottle-fed Procharged 4.6L 3V, to a NASCAR-powered AIX car has been amazing. I've seen this car up close in person many times during its evolution and Marc continues to improve it constantly. Even more amazing is that this car wasn't done by some big corporate entity with a huge budget, but instead by a local guy with a passion for fast Mustangs. Way to go, Marc!!!

Here are some videos that were taken at SEMA. After the event was over, I drove it back to Circus Circus down the highway and then down Las Vegas boulevard. I also included a video of me driving it to the race track because after all, it still has license plates and insurance. That doesn't mean that it's street legal, it just means that I don't care and drive it on the road with road race slicks anyway.
The engine is out of Mark Martin's NASCAR Cup Pfizer Roush Yates Super Speedway car that they ran at Daytona 500 and Talladega. The last year they ran the car at Daytona, Martin finished 6th. The engine makes 817 hp at 8500 RPMs and I shift it at 8800 RPMs.
