how close are these two colors in appearance to each other?
also is the grabber orange from the 1970's similar to any of the colors that are offered on the new models? where does race red or torch red come in with these also.

im looking at a new 12 boss in CO,
and also the 2004 Mach 1 in CO
to go along with a 69 or 70 model in CC or GO

 

Grabber orange is similar to School Bus Yellow, just a deeper shade of yellow. But School Bus Yellow is only available on 2013 Boss. It is also not close to Competition Orange or Calypso Coral.

 

YES ... Competition Orange is basically modern day clear-coat Calyposo Coral.

I've got a '69 painted Calypso Coral and had a Competition Orange '04 and the color was very close considering the '69 was painted in 1982 (Dupont Centari Acrylic Enamel) and the '04 factory paint is water base & clear coat.

Here's a pic with my other former Chrome Yellow Stang between them.

Heres my 12 Boss next to my grandfathers 70 CC Boss 429, and 69 WW Boss 429, 70 Boss 302, and 69 Boss 302, 71 Boss 351...there's a thread about this awesome day over in the B2 Boss forum...

 

The calupso Coral is more "orange" and a little lighter than the CO...but it's close!
