Color

OK, so now that I have waitied 9 years for the 5.0 engine, I am stuck as to go with Black or Candy Red for a convertible.

And if the Candy Red, the brembo wheels or the 19" painted wheels (because I believe that the black requires the brembo wheels)?

Oh, the decisions I have to make

Opinions?

Nope, it is definitely a convertible. Have to have one.

So, black or Candy Red?

Brembo wheels are required with the brembo brake package, color makes no difference, and you can only get the brembo wheels with the brake package.

The price and build site is screwed up on this if that's what you are going by, it's WRONG.

One of many glitches on the price and build site.

No, sorry if that came out wrong.

IMHO, if you get a black mustang, the brembo wheels compliment the black perfectly. So there is no question that I would get the brembo wheels if I choose black.

However, I don't know if the dark brembo wheels go well with Red Candy.

Soory for the confusion.

What I'm saying is you can't get the brembo wheels unless you get the brembo brake package.

The way you are wording it is as if you would just get the wheels.

Many who have used the build and price site have tried this and it will let you spec them seperately but you can't actually get them.

Although I'm not a big fan of the Brembo wheels, I do think they look very good with Black. With Red Candy I think the 19" Nickel Luster wheels look best. Also, I think they Red Candy looks very nice on it's own. If I were doing Black I'd want to complement it with some stripes. Hey, you could have the best of both worlds by getting the car in black and putting red stripes on it.

Depends on the look you are going after. Black, what I have now, looks very sharp but is a pain to keep clean. Red is racing and sporty and a police catcher. My next Mustang will be red.

If it is going to be a convertible, it has to be RED....BRIGHT RED.....or RACE RED, like the one I have being made week after next. A GT Premium Race Red convertible. Fast cars ought to LOOK fast.

Wow, decisions...

Black looks nice, however, a Triple Black Convertible is always nice. My only gripe with Red cars is that when left in the sun the clearcoat eventually fades, and becomes dull. I have a Red Ford Ranger and this happened to it. Usually the roof and top 1st. But you'll have a convertible!

Black convertibles with nice rims are gorgeous. Yes, they have to be cleaned, but still. If you get chromed or bright polished aluminum rims, you'll have yourself one gorgeous car.

On the downside of black, you can see every scratch and swirl. Also, people tend to want to key black cars. I dont know why, but sometimes people go out of their way to do it.

My choice would be a Red Candy or Race Red convertible with Black Top and Black interior. You'll have a black top at least...

You can always change the wheels, and even go with black chromed wheels which would look gorgeous with the candy/race red. Also, change the gear to 3.73's eventually-

Man, I think I'm going to order a convertible now... I'm confused. I love convertibles...

Your paint won't fade if you properly take care of it. Don't let that be a reason you avoid a color.

Red convertible just screams "Hairdresser from NYC" to me. Go black and never look back.

Black is great if you like to clean your car daily.

Go black then add on a candy red stripe! Problem solved!

A GT500 thin stripe... same principle.
