Cobra reveal
What Gnatsum is referring to is the forward slant of the hood first seen on the charger and NOW on the Ram for 2009.
Oh, I understand why they added the grill extension. I just think it makes the new GT500 look more like a Ram than it does the GT500s of old. If the headlights were less "squinty" the resemblance would be less obvious.
Incidentally, I'd like to see Ford bring back the rectangular foglights for the GT500.

On the other hand, if the headlights were moved forward towards the grille more. Then the resemblance would definitely be far less obvious.
IMHO, I think the GT500 would look much better, if it used the same grille which is on the 2010 GT.
I totally agree, as the GT500 grille does indeed appear to look more like a Ram's grille. Due because the headlights are receded further back into the front fenders.

I think the 2010 GT500 grille resembles the old Shelby Cobra design, where it sticks out past the headlamps and has the original forward lean:

Any similarity the GT500 front end has to a RAM is simply due to general design cues and proportions that are popular in new car designs generally such as a large "chin", forward leaning grill (ie Lancer) and the desire to create an overall aggressive look to both vehicles.
Please stop posting this, it's hideous. I see what you're getting at, but the new GT500 actually looks good while that looks like a fast and the furious reject.
Thank you, Clino. That's my opinion too
