Thank you to the US Military. These are the replacements for the Hummer. MRAP is Mine Resistant Ambush Protected. These are what our soldiers need to protect them while driving in the middle east. They have a V-hull like a boat to deflect IED explosions.

They only do that on the show cars to make them look the best they can.

MRAPs are great vehicles but they have very specific uses. They are not the end all be all of mobility for ground units. They protect against IEDs but we can't forget that IEDs are only a weapon, a tool, used by enemies for a specific purpose.
EXACTLY! We get caught up in worrying about mitigating, when we need to focus on prevention, but I digress....
here are my pics! Pay no attention to the cat with the gun

I don't quite see the Camaro, the Viper, the Challenger, or the Corvette as having 'Mustang envy.'
Like I've said before, I like 'em all, but I'll be the first to admit that every last one of them including the Mustang has its faults. There are going to be fans of every one of them -- can't we just admit they're great cars despite their flaws, and be happy that not only do we get our dream Mustang, but that those cars are out there for the people that want and love them?
Sure, I get that there are those facetious people driving Corvettes, Vipers or Shelbys that think they're the greatest, have no flaws, and just are generally arrogant because of it -- but I like to believe very few people here honestly want to stoop to that level.
The orange Challenger R/T and the ZR-1 are looking good in those pictures, too!
