Check your shift *****

Hey guys,

Last night I was out enjoying the car, but I had been having trouble hitting 4th gear consistantly...I couldn't figure out why when I was power shifting I couldn't hit it everytime...

Then I noticed my shift **** was loose! I turned it a full circle and it tightened up everything...the shifter even feels 10 times better and more sturdy

I guess when i was power shifting, the **** kept moving and directing me into the gate...now its perfect and I have no complaints...

could be a quick fix for some of you...mine was loose from factory

I think I need to check mine, I get a vibration from the shift **** that causes a "buzz" noise when the car is cold.

If you buy a mustang and never power shift then just go back to ford and trade it in for a fusion or something

doesn't make much sense to me..but to each their own!

There's a big difference between driving it hard and abusing it.

there are guys with shifting problems that haven't done any hard driving at all.

I would guess though that even with a well designed/built factory transmission, the clutch would probably be dead before the transmission.

After reading what numerous speed shops have said about the MT82 though, I would never even power shift my car.
