Check engine light, taking guesses.

Hey everyone,

We just bought a 2014 3.7l with only 7k miles. I've had it for 5 days and the check engine light just came on (solid, not blinking). When I left work on Friday to go home, I gave it a little more gas than usual to test it out for fun, that's when I noticed the light. It could've been on the entire time I was leaving the parking lot, or it could've come on after I got after it on the road, I'm not sure. Maybe the car wasn't warmed up yet before I got on the gas? Would that matter if it's 100 degrees outside and sunny? It's at the dealer right now and they will hopefully get back with me tomorrow to let me know what they found. Any guesses as to what they'll say? I have the 30k mile bumper to bumper warranty, so I'm too worried, just taking guesses. Comsider it a game.

Do you know the history of the car? One owner, rental car, etc.

Why guess. Go to auto parts store and let them read code.

History is one owner and non-rental. It didn't seem to have any performance issues, just the light. And I can't take it to an auto parts store, it's already at the dealership

No gas cap.

The answer is... Bad o2 sensor. No one wins the game. Thanks for playing though!
