Chasing C6 Z06 at the track

One more video... Chasing my buddy in his Z06. There might be a V10 R8 in the clip too. Very fun chasing Z06 tho!!!

Well done! C6 Z06s are impressive at the track. Keeping up with one in the Mustang requires skills. Was he wearing slicks too??

He was on NT01's. They were heat cycled out like my R1's were. Once he pointed me by he stayed with me as well, I gained a bit thru turns 2,3, and 5 in general then he made up time in turns 9, 10, 11 and 12. Wicked fun session

Last time I chased a corvette, I learned an important lesson about the "red mist" and what can happen when you try to keep up with a more capable car and/or driver ;-)

Yeah it's easy to start overcooking turns and braking zones when chasing a faster car... Still happens to me sometimes as well

Last year i was chasing a C5 Z06, and over 2-3 laps just watched it gradually get further and further away. He was getting out of the corners faster, and on the straights added more separation.

I really want to resist getting scrubs, but times like these makes me wish I did. I don't have a way of towing my car, but on the other hand a set of slicks is cheaper than a Z06

Slicks! Do it! They are SO MUCH MORE FUN than street tires.

Yeah, sigh, one of these days.

Anyways, first 4 minutes of this video shows you how bad I got beat up by that vette. If I only had slicks! and better driving skills
