Those diagrams related to CN2 are showing the operation of internal relays that manage the power door locks. NC indicates the Normally Closed (connected at rest) terminals and NO indicates the Normally Open (not connected at rest) terminals of the relays. COM (Common) refers to the terminal that is internally connected to the NC and NO terminals to complete the circuit.

Your Mustang uses a negative trigger door lock system - when a lock switch is pressed, the circuit completes to ground (negative) signaling the Smart Junction Box (SJB) to activate the lock motors. So you want to use the diagram of Method 1 for your locks. Connect the yellow/white and green/white wires to a good ground. Connect the yellow wire to the unlock signal at the SJB - that's the yellow/purple wire in position 4 of the connector. Connect the green wire to the lock signal at the SJB - that's the blue/green wire in position 17 of the connector. Leave the yellow/black and green/black wires disconnected but tape them up to ensure they don't short out against any metal.
