Question Can't Find Where to Attach Parking Brake Cable

Hey everyone! I am a new member and first time poster to this forum I just bought my first Mustang this week. Black 2013 GT manual!

Now on to the problem. When I was buying the car the seller informed me that it needed e-brake cables but he included a new set of cables as part of the purchase. So I set out today to put them on thinking it would be super easy. The problem I ran into is I cannot find where the heck to attach the parking brake cables to the rear wheels... From most pictures I've found online there is usually some type of hook or spring that is on the backside of the caliper that the parking brake cable would hook into.

The car I bought has an aerospace components brake kit on it (I think this one: 4 Piston Pro Street Front Drilled, Slotted, Plated Brake Kit 05-14 Mustang (Hat Style)). There is absolutely nothing on the back side of the caliper to attach the parking brake cable to. I've included some pictures below from different angles to show you what I'm seeing. What the heck am I missing here?

The Aerospace brakes use a Drum inside the rear rotor, that is if they bought the kit with the parking brake.

And the kit that's on the car definitely does not have that drum parking brake on it. Further, Aerospace doesn't seem to offer just the parking brake drum assembly on the website alone, and there's no such thing under the Mustang category at all, near as I can tell. You can search for 'parking drum' at the top left, and you'll see listings for entire brake kits for all kinds of axle assemblies which have the drums with them, but which one of the Ford ones it is, I don't know... nor can I tell if any of them are for the car in the first place. I assume one of them could be.

You'll want to contact Aerospace regarding all this, they're the only ones who'll know. And by the way, this is your brake kit in question:

The one you had up there is the front brake kit. In case that helps/matters when you call them. Hope that helps and good luck! Welcome to the forums!

Thanks guys for the replies! It definitely looks like the kit I have does not have that internal parking brake drum. I am thinking of simply swapping out the front and rear kits completely and buying a Power Stop Z26 Street Warrior kit as a replacement: https://www.powerstop.com/product/po...-kit-calipers/

I won't be drag racing or taking it to the track so I think the above kit will do the job without breaking the bank!

yeah that kit should work, you definitely need the stock calipers and it looks like your rotors are different so you probably need the rotors too

regular OEM will probably work just as well as that Power Stop kit and might cost less

what's wrong with the front?

EDIT: hmmmm . . . . the rear caliper mounting bracket/plate does not look stock to me, so you probably need that too, not sure
