Cammed tune
I did read the other thread. I am well aware that Ford has asked several aftermarket tuners to stop selling the "cammed idle" tune.
My question does anyone know if Ford Racing will be offering a cammed idle tune?
If not I am sorry for posting this thread.

I missed a thread about that. What is the link?
Also, what is the big deal about the ghost cams. Is Ford going to request tuners to stop tuning cars too? lol

Thanks for posting this. I wanted this. Just not sure I'll get that mod? Hope to hear more about this topic! Is this about ghost tunes or just this fake cam 1? How come?

Im hoping someone knows if Ford Racing will offer a cammed tune bc I really wanted to get this.
I don't get why ford is making such a big deal. They should be happy that tuners are able to make the car sound like this just bc of some tuning.

Its more the sound aspect. I see where youu are coming fromm though saying it is "poseur". Ii don't have 1k to drop on real cams. I would rather put tthat into suspension or wheels/tires.
I was hoping FR woould offer a cammed tuune since they deemed it necessary. To patentt this tune file. That's all.

I'm also disappointed that this will be no longer offered. Whether or not its a "fake" mod, it was neat to be able to tune the mustang's idle sound and behavior.
I wanted it because it separated my mustang's note from another 2011 that wasn't as modified as mine is. I love the boss 302's track key sound, and I hope Ford isn't so short-sighted as to alienate their fanbase of 2011+ Mustang GT owners by making that technology specific to the very limited edition boss. There's plenty of other ways that the boss is exclusive, so to me it makes absolutely no sense. Especially with how passionate the Team Mustang development people have been up to this point.
I wouldn't have purchased a mustang had I not been pulled aside at the 2010 Rolex24 at Daytona by the mustang's coyote engineering team and had a long chat about how simply badass the motor was and how passionate they were about mustang performance.

I still don't understand why Ford wants to patent this aspect of the B302. It doesn't make sence. The one problem I will have is that if Ford does indeed offer a ghost cams tune for the regular 5.0 it will not be as agressive sounding as the Lund tune we have heard. Only time will tell.
