Camaro5 has new spy shots.....Close up of GT grill

I gotta say, after looking at the shots again, this one especially you can see how much "lighter" and more "athletic" appearing the car is. The flat black bottom of the car really blends in to the shadows and gives the car a much more dramatic and flowing appearance. Kudos to the Ford designers for accomplishing what they set out to do, even if the car really looks lighter in the shadows.
I think we would all rather them just REDUCE the weight, rather than spend all this time making the car LOOK lighter, while saving money in unpainted grilles, sideskirts and rear bumpers.
I also think the rearview camera in the spoiler would have been a bit less intrusive if they put the round lens in a square/rectangle housing that was flush with the spoiler, instead of the little round bubble that sticks out. Or maybe integrated it with the 3rd brakelight.

They are more than likely using the black plastic ground effects to make the car appear visually smaller. The GT has body color ground effects, but the GT500 doesn't (in some areas - and again to change the visual character of the car).

For the first time, I can honestly say that I like what I see. I was worried about the front blinkers, but they are now nicely incased in plastic. I hated the "Candy stripe" look of the tail lights, but that appears to be gone. I really like the aggressive front. I like the upgraded interior & instrument panel as well. I am not 100% in love with the rear end, but I guess you can't have everything? Now I will wait for the 5.0, unless the 4.6 is greatly increased(which I doubt).

Look closer. I think the "candy stripe" taillights are still there, hidden under a big red plastic cover. With a hole in it.
The car is silver, but the areas around the taillights that should also be silver are red. They're just hiding the candy stripes.

I guess I'll know soon enough! Maybe I shouldn't have opened my mouth so soon?-lol

Or are they?
Looks to be the same car. It could be a trick of the light (pun intended), but with the lamps on, the centre panels don't look white.

Apologies if I've missed these on here.

Close, but they've left too many of the '05 styling cues untouched.

The front looks too sad,but i think the rear is pretty close. I hope the actual rear looks like that,it looks a little iffy in the spy shots. It's missing the new hood also. I'm just glad the tacked on spoiler is gone on these cars,it looks fine on my '04,but completely out of place on the '05-09.

I Personally Think They'll Look Just Fine. Really Breaking Up the 3 Elements of the Tail Lights. I Also Believe They Will Look Better Than Expected Because I Think They Will Enhance The Sculpted Shape of The Lens. As Someone Rendered Here,
Sorry I Can't Remember Who It Was, But If Not That Would Be One Of The First Things I Would Love to See Made For The 2010. I Love The Way These Lights Remind Me of the 69 Stangs.
Especially With The Concave Panel Between Them As You Can See Here From the Shelby's Gas Cap/Medallion.

It's all going to add up to a wonderful looking Mustang overall. And it's the package as a whole that most people are going to see and judge anyway.
