CAI Install Problem

Well just attempted to install a new intake into my car and as i was finishing, i dropped a button screw down the little area that connects to the front. My question is what does that part connect to, and would it be alright to start my car with the way it sits just to see if it runs okay?

If proper terminology is not an option, pictures would likely help to clarify what you mean about the front area....

do you have a magnet extender? it might be possible to push one through to pickup the screw you dropped, depending where it went....

nice! what kind of CAI did you get?

I know that CAI's don't produce ground breaking numbers in terms of additional performance. I do like the sound and overall aesthetics you get with it from under the hood!

It was an Airaid CAI, and no i didnt tune it in the beginning but it did throw a check engine light for half the day, but after i was off work it was gone so i guess the ECU has adjusted to it.
