Bun warmers

We're deep into winter now, so I figure those people who drive their Mustangs in the winter and have heated seats have had ample opportunity to use them. I've only read one review where the seat heaters were mentioned and he said they were too hot. So let's hear from the actual owners, too hot or just right? Were heated seats first available in 2010 or have they been around for years?

heated seats on my 2010 are great, they heat up pretty quickly, most times i use it then shut it off once the seat is up to my desired comfort level and the heater in the car is doing its thing. i think it is too warm to leave on continuously however my GF likes it on constantly.

Yeah, I don't think too hot is a problem. Just turn it off when your butt reaches optimal temperature.

I don't really care for heated seats myself. My butt is generally the last part of my body that needs warming up. What I would love to see is a heated steering wheel. My fingers get the coldest.

Most seat warmers I've experienced have all felt "too hot" to simply leave on for an extended period of time. I turn them on until I feel the heat then turn them off.

Must be another thing Ford changed for the 2010+ cycle, you guys with the too hot heated seats are lucky: the ones in my '08 GT don't even get perceptibly warm until they automatically shut off after 10 minutes. It's not until they're about 5 minutes through the second cycle that they start to work.

I like them ,not as hot as in other Fords with 2 settings .The new Taurus has some real toasters ! I use the seat heater and the car heater on a low setting.

Living in VA I didn't think I would use them much but I have been. I park my car in the garage at night so I use them briefly in the AM and shut them off, but when my car has been sitting outside all day at work they feel nice.

The guy I car pool with has a 3 series BMW and his have 3 settings which is nice but I basically do the same in his car and shut them off after it is warmed up.

On the 2010 I've test drove a few times, they've been equipped and I turn them on. They work great and are comfortable for this time of year, with jeans on and a ski coat, they worked great. Not too hot at all.
