Brembo Tech Question

Will the Brembo brakes clear the factory 19" Painted Luster Nickel Aluminum Wheel?

I know it isn't the wheel the Brembo package comes with. To be honest I don;t like the look of the wheels the Brembo kit comes with and like the 5 spoke High Luster nickel wheel better.

has anyone tried them to see if they fit?

Do you know what the specs on those wheels are? Specifically offset and backspacing. Best bet is to compare that to the Brembo wheels. I don't think they will fit over the Brembo calipers because they look kinda flat (and the calipers stick out a ways), but that's just my guess

Only Brembo package or oem gt500 wheels will fit without going aftermarket.

Or Boss 302 wheels...

Not enough clearance on the backside of the spokes on the 19x8.5 5 spoke wheels in question.

That's what I thought. Thanks folks. I mean no offense when I say this but I think the Brembo brake package wheels are terribly ugly and I was trying to avoid using them.

Plenty of wheels that will work with Brembos, just not the ones you were asking about.

And I was also not a big fan of the Brembo wheels but after I bought my car they have grown on me considerably. And you don't see a lot of other cars with them.

I totally agree with you here. I hate the Brembo wheels and prefer the look of the five spoke wheels over them. To be honest, I don't like the looks of most of the factory wheel offerings that are available for the Mustang.

I'm going to be the one to defend the Brembo wheels, I think they're the only really good looking OEM wheel option on the Mustangs. I just wish they were wider or came as a 9"/10" staggered set with a little dish at the back.

I agree, I love the BBP wheels. The wheels the OP wants to use are ugly IMO. To each their own I suppose.

I ordered the brembo package for the wheels and not the brakes.

Yeah. That is funny. I guess you either love them or hate them. LOL

They just don't work for my eye. I guess that's why we have lots of wheel options. :-)

I will say that if I still had my 2011 kona blue GT or a black GT those wheels would look cool. So I can see why you folks like them.

They just don't do it for me on gotta have it green. Maybe that's my issue. It's the color mashed up against hat lime green.

Definitely see where you're coming from. GHIG needs something that really pops. There's a pic around here with the hypersilver RTR's on GHIG that looks amazing, or a hard contrast like gloss black. The anthracite grey on the TP wheels looks dull on GHIG.
