Does anyone know if the 2012 Boss 302 will be displayed at the show? If so is it just one car up on a platform or will there be one on the floor that you can sit in?

Afternoon bump.

 

I don't know why it would not be there. I am going to the Dallas Auto Show & it better be there!! I'm going mainly to see Mustangs. I haven't been in years, last time I was there was when Dodge's SRT8's were not out yet. They were there. Maybe even the camaro?

I imagine if @ Dallas, it will be on a rotating floor thing. Closest you can get to is 10' there. I'd love to sit in it!! I'm going April 9th.

Also I remember your avatar pic. Was your name always 5 DOT 0? I like it!!!

 

Yes that's always been my ID. It's the 21st Century way of saying 5.0. I ordered a license plate with that on it but I'm going to change it to something with Boss on it.

I called a dealer in San Jose and they said there will be no Boss cars at the Show. Can anyone confirm that? If I know there will be a Boss at the show I'll drive down tomorrow morning.

 

doubt it since Detriot is coming up, I imagine the concentration is towards that. Ford is having a nifty test drive event and a GT and a SHO are on the roster

Great, do you have a link or info as to where you found this? It doesn't look like it's open to sit in. I wonder if I took my DORA if they'd open it up for me?

 

The Boss was at the State Fair, I can assume it will be at the Dallas International Auto show as well. State Fair had it on a platform but the door was open and you could see in it.

 

I just found it in a pic thread on one of the bigger Mustang sites. Usually if you talk to one of the staff there, they'll open it up. I pulled the Ford employee card last year to get me in the locked Fiesta last year I'm going sunday so I'll see if that works again lol

 

Thanks. I have my DORA and I'll ask if it's not open. We are heading out for the 140 mile drive shortly. I'll post a few pics this evening. I'm hoping the new Explorer is there as well. It was not available yet for the SacAutoShow.

 

new Explorer should be there. It was at the San Francisco auto show. In fact, the dealership I work at (Livermore Ford) just recieved 4 of them

 

The Boss 302 is coming to MT Autoshow in Charleston,WV on 1/28-31/11

 

Silver LS is in Virginia Beach this weekend. First BOSS I've seen in person.

 

Are Bosses shipping? I guess they are, I just saw one on a carrier heading west on hwy 70 near Vandalia, Il.

They are not shipping yet and it looks like the original production week of Jan. 18th has been delayed at least two weeks. What you saw is a pre production car or one used for the car shows.

 

The black Boss LS at the show is the one Parnelli Jones signed. Looks like the Silver LS making the car shows is up on the pedestal and the black one gets the floor. So my guess is the same two cars have been making the car show circuit. When I first arrived one of the product specialist who focuses on SUV's was telling someone the LS had more HP than the street Boss. I quickly corrected him and told the interested party if they had any more questions to just ask me. The product specialist wouldn't open up the car, said it was sold. I then said I have ordered one and want to sit in it. He pointed me to the head guy who didn't even look at my DORA and just said to give him a few minutes and he'd get the key. The specialist guy showed up a few minutes later and opened it up for my family and me to crawl around on the inside. I answered several questions he had about the Boss. Overall we spent about 10 minutes inside the car. The two guys were very nice for opening up the car for us.

My kids and I saw the silver LS at the SacAutoShow but didn't get to sit in it. This was the first time my wife had seen the car and she is now pretty excited about buying the Boss too. I'll post a few photos of the exhaust system the you might find interesting a bit later in the Boss section. I'll post the link here when they are loaded.

BTW the new Explorer looks terrific and Ford is going to sell a lot of them.
