Can anyone explain how the Boss H-pipe is different than the stock one?

Probably not going to drop $900 on this... but still curious.

Thanks!!!!!

I'm shocked they want that much for it. Hell, I found the service parts and could do it for $750 or so. Considering those are already inflated sky high, I expected this to be a bargain in comparison.

All you'd need to do is add the flanges to your stock H-pipe and buy the rest of the items from a dealer. You'd save about $200 that way.

Holy crap, $900? Ugh. Like others, I still want it, but not for $900.

I might go this route also at some point. Another member had some vids of his with GT500s and cut resonators, and that sounded pretty sweet.

It has the regular H-pipe that goes to the back and also pipes that cut out to the side. The side pipes have a flat piece of metal in them with a small hole that can either be enlarged or you can remove the plate entirely. Most of the exhaust will still exit out the back. It is supposed to sound really good. Found a pic:

From: An hour from Laguna Seca
I can vouch it does sound awesome! I had to put the stock baffles in to track it at Laguna Seca and it's very quiet with them back in. Too quiet.

That would be cool and you wouldn't have to deal with shipping

So far this is the best price I have found

http://www.fordracingpartsdirect.com.../m-5220-mb.htm

$795.00 with free shipping.
