Borla S-Type should be here Friday
Hello!
I read something and was wondering how many of you that have purchased Borla products did this. I called Borla and they sent me the following link. Has anyone done this?
How exciting! Just got an email and my Borla S-type Axelbacks have been shipped. I should receive them this Friday and Saturday have them installed
Thanks

I didn't drill any weep holes. I don't hear any water in there. I give them a little tap every so often and don't hear any water moving around. I dont think youll have a problem. You'll love the sound though for sure. They are awesome. Have the resonators cut out and weld in some 3" stainless, that really wakes em up.

Just curious why they would have you do this unless it's an issue and why some people and not others? And why don't they don't do it straight from the factory? I'm just going to leave mine alone. Hopefully like you i won't have issues.

My Borla's have not collected any water, but then again I don't do a lot of stop and go driving or long warm ups. Moisture in the exhaust only happens when the exhaust is is cooler, once it warms up you should not have the problem with water and should all blow out while driving or evaporate from the heat.

I made this modification to my new S-Types. I wasn't sure if I would have water collection issues, but I use my Mustang in various ways and could end up with water in the pipes. I know, they're stainless, so what! It bugged me thinking that water could collect in the pipes at all, so I drilled them.
I strongly suggest if you want to do this, do it before you put them on! It would be a pain to do so afterwards.

That's somewhat normal though. I've seen many cars spew water out the tail pipes under hard acceleration ...

Watch Borla's video on their site or on YouTube. They show stock, Touring, S-Type and Atak, which is the fairest video of all since all four are recorded with the same equipment,
