BMC Alcoa / Super Snake replica wheels

http://www.bmcextremecustoms.net/blmawh.html

I've always loved the Alcoa/Super Snake wheels, but they are out of production and extremely expensive used. Has anyone seen these or bought these? I tried searching for them on the forum and didn't see anything.

Those look nice. Even for the price. I think that most of the "real" alcoas were chrome though. And they were also forged wheels. If you're just going for the looks though, it doesn't really matter.

Yeah, its ALL about the looks. It looks like its an extra $300 to get them chromed. How do you think it would look on a Race Red car?

I'd think they'd look good on any color personally. Regardless of chrome or black/grey.
Just for your info, Shelby in Vegas is selling a set of originals for 4500 I believe.

i have considered the bmc wheels myself. whenever i go to a mustang show, there's alot of the 05-09's sporting the chrome alcoa's.

I posted up this picture on Facebook asking opinions about the wheels and everyone trolled me, saying my car would look retarded with those wheels and my "small brakes". What do you guys think?

I don't think look bad at all. But they do look like the wheels with the TP/Brembos.

Thats what I like about them. I love the design of the Brembo wheels, but these Alco replicas are bigger, wider, and better looking IMO. Plus I think chrome or maybe a polished finish would look nicer than the tinted Brembo wheels on my car

Exactly my thoughts. Decent. But for the price? no thanks. They look too similar to the Brembo wheels we get stock. They're nice, don't get me wrong. But if you're going to go aftermarket, go with something different, esp for the price you pay.

$1600 is about on par with other aftermarket wheels of this size, right?

The only question now is whether they are cheap garbage and will crack or bend?

"Our wheels are low pressure casting. We use positive pressure to move the molten aluminum into the mold quicker and achieve a finished product that has improved mechanical properties (more density) over a gravity cast wheel. There is a slightly higher production cost over gravity casting, but low pressure casting is the most common process approved for aluminum wheels sold to the O.E.M. market. Low pressure cast wheels offer a good value for the aftermarket while still maintaining strength and a lighter weight."

Anyone believe it?

I like them, don't like the offsets they're offered in.
Especially the 37mm rear offset on that 20x10.
It puts the outside edge of the wheel pretty much in line with the fender line, so the widest tire on a lowered car can be 285

Just photochopped a set on my car and I really like them, but the offset keeps me from pulling the trigger

Gabe do you have Adobe Photoshop? I only have Lightroom, so I can't do the swaps you can. I'm debating if it's worth it to get it.
