Both used V6 Convertibles (I know...) with 35k mileage, however, the 2013 Silver one is $400 cheaper, but is a year older than the 2014 Grey one, and lacks the Nav system that the Grey one has. The issue with the Grey one however, is that Carfax values it $1000 cheaper due to it having been in an accident, having "structural damage," and being in "good" condition, as opposed to "excellent."
The pictures of each look find though, so I'm having a hard time not buying the newer one. What do you guys think?

They are right. Bad fax keep running.
Look for more. With the Airbag recall you can get mustang really cheap. last year I bought my son a 2014 Premium v6 MCA with 10K in mods for about the same price. it only had 16k on the odometer.

Would you still recommend looking at more?
It does have an airbag recall but it seems I can get that fixed for free? The carfax value rates this car at an amazing deal as well. I'm curious though how you bought such a nice car for a similar price.
The airbag recall is free, but must be performed at a Ford dealership service center. Take it to the dealer. Be sure they *have the parts* before you go, and you must leave it for at least one day.

Thanks.
Wow...out here in California I'm finding nothing at that price with that mileage and mods. Granted I haven't looked for too long, but this 2013 v6 premium with 33k seems to be one of the best deals I've found. The car is in excellent condition, and the mechanic who did my pre-purchase inspection today said that he'd definitely recommend buying this one (I need to get new tires though). He said 8/10 used cars that he inspects often end up needing a whole host of repairs, and he said everything with this car looks good.

Yes Keep looking. Found the Mustang on the back of a lot. At lest the big dealers will not sell a recalled car. Mustangs here are cheaper. I had to sign a waiver and bugged them to sell it to me. They were taking it to the auction to get ride of it. Deals can be found and in a couple months the 2013/ 14 will be another year older...
Houtex, why must the car be left at the dealer for at least a day? I called to make sure they had parts, worked out a loose timeframe with the Service Advisor for me to bring the car by. When I brought the car in, it took all of 30 minutes for the tech to complete the job.
Zeldazoo...do what pleases you for sure, my money wouldn't buy either of those cars regardless of what a tech told me. One was crashed and the other was a rental or lease return. We all know the story of leased and rental cars...
John
I have 2 mustangs both 2014. One has the nave the other does not. The Nav is more money but it makes the dash look so much better. The other problem with the nav is most of the nav features only work with XM. SO you keep paying...
I must be looking in the wrong places... I've been on auto trader, auto list, carfax, car guru, cars, etc. This price seems good relatively speaking, but not compared to your car haha. For me it's less about the year and more about how the owner took care of it. Generally, cars with lots of mods are driven vigorously. If you can point me in any specific directions in regards to lots, I'd love to know. Thanks a ton!

Here's a couple examples in NC., and you could possible nego a 15 hundred off the prices. You're in the sweet spot on the silver one IMHO. Remember, there's always a "Unicorn" like Jazzman's out there, but you've got to be at the right place at the right time. And that ain't always easy.

As far as looking more, you can do that. I have found no matter how long I look, when I buy there is always another that hits the market that has something that I like a little better. Never fails. Good luck on your decision.

Looking around here as to what is being offered I do not see much either. Bunch of cars, but most have 50K+ miles on them and are base cars. Maybe for the time of year you are looking at a great buy. I know earlier in the spring there was a sloo of good low mile converts for sale. Everything was a V6. If you feel this is a buy I would go with your gut. None of us have seen the cars in person and if you like what you see go for it. I would still stay away for the one that was wrecked.
Only low mileage one is a coupe and it is more $$ than you are seeing.

Tom is a wise man. Structural damage with air bag deployment are big concerns. Run, don't walk. The silver car does looks nice IMHO. Good luck on your decision.
