No sarcasim intended, but these 5.0's get very decent mileage for the performance thay put out. If folks are getting hung up on MPG, then they bought the wrong vehicle.

My 2012 GT 6sp has a little over 12.5K on it. I haven't reset the MPG for a few months and it's showing 15.3 (which is where it's been for a month or more). I do have a bit of a heavy right foot, but that's why I bought the GT.

I typically shift into 2nd at some point between 3K and 4K rpm (mostly because I hate being surprised by that ridiculous "skip shift" feature and because my MT82 isn't notchy if I shift at that rpm). From that point on, it's just whatever sounds and feels like the right shift point. I'm sure I could get better mpg if I concentrated on it. I've gotten 24 on longer road trips if I reset it when we start out.
