Best looking 2010 Engine Compartment...
475 horsepower, 435 torque
And it still retains the sound tube, sure would like to hear what that sounds like.
Sure looks KILLER to me!

Yeah, but you can buy a 2010 and the supercharger for less than a 2011 and you can have it tomorrow, car anyway, supercharger in a week or two.
And it will have a lot more power.
I know there will be a bunch who eventually supercharge their 2011 5.0's but after seeing what the engineers who designed the motor have said they may not end up with much more safe power than the supercharged 4.6.

I dont see your point...you can buy any previous model year car cheaper, put a blower on it, and have more power....
very true...however the next post after yours referenced a 2011 which is now a 4V motor..that started the 4V vs 3V in the engine compartment looks comparison....and there you have it!!
The 4V's with their huge heads and cam covers always look better than the 3V's...At least I believe they do...

Between the engine being bigger and more efficient, able to run less boost, and the engine management.
Everyone reads that the coyote won't be able to push boost like a 3v, and thinks it can't make power. They are 2 different things.
a bit pricey compared to the roush option but you get to keep the sound tube stock CAI, and front induction (this is a thread about how it looks, im not a fan of running the intake to the back of the engine)
Basically their design adds some efficiency back to the engine through better breathing, 475hp, 450lbft on 5-6 psi is not bad

If I had a choice, I'd prefer say 550hp 5L compared to a 550hp 4.6 both with S/C.

I started this thread just because I came across the pic of the 2010 Saleen 435S and thought the engine compartment looked really good with the Saleen supercharged engine.
I really didn't intend it to say that a 4.6 3V was better or worse than any other, I like them ALL.
It remains to be seen how the new 5.0 works with boost.
The deal about buying the 2010 and a blower is that it is something you can have NOW, or if you already have the 2010 then you can strap the blower on and have a real stormer. Not trying to disuade anyone from there 2011 aspirations, I do still want one, but if I could I would go ahead and buy the 2010 and the blower and have a blast with it.

the new GT350 is supercharged and they are expecting the power in the 550hp range with a warranty. So dont say it wont be reliable at that level, no way would they warranty a car that would be unreliable with a blower on top of it.
And as far as ME saying they would be unreliable, I am just considering what the FORD ENGINEERS said.
It's not out and available yet and no HP has been established for it yet and we don't know what Shelby has done to the motor or the tune to make it handle the blower. For the $33,000 premium that Shelby is getting for them it wouldn't surprise me if they weren't putting forged pistons and rods in the motors when they get to Shelby American.
