Tell him to add another 80-100 bucks and get a nice 93 perf tune from one of the big boys. Best money he will spend.

Believe me, that was my first thought.

Unfortunately, it's not in the cards. I'm helping a friend surprise her boyfriend and it has to be in her budget.

I told her we could get a big poster of the nose of my car to put in his back window. That way, when he looks in his rear view mirror he could pretend like he beat me in a race.

So what are her choices? Not sure their is much out there that will make that big of a difference for under $300.
I think this car only needs GT500 rear spoiler, Chin spoiler and a nice axle back with a tune. Can you get any for under $300?

Underdrive pulleys? but professional installation would probably put the total price over $300.

I was thinking about the UDP's, but I was hoping to get something easy since he doesn't like to spend much time under the hood. She asked me to help out, I said sure, but I didn't realize how few cool things there are less than $300.

A JLT CAI. 12-15(+) hp. The site that's provided also gives you the choice to pick an intake tube color. Not that that really matters but can dress it up a lil... Free shipping, and a coupon code (stangmods) bring it in at $230.
Hell, I was thinking about getting it for myself for Christmas!

Great suggestion, I thought they were more expensive. Was a tune required on the 2010? I haven't followed the changes too much and don't want to create any problems for him.

Yea, I would only assume that the tuner is required...

But as mentioned before- the underdrive pulley setup could be good as well. For $199 (with promo code)- not too bad. But yes agree install might top the 300? then again it may not...

You could also try grabber pony and make a very customizable shift ****.

Decisions decisions!!

Also might want to look at a GT500 diffuser and/or a CDC front lip.

I would generally try to stay away from gifts that require the receiver to get them installed/tuned -- just in case they don't have the money to do so.

OK guys - thanks for the input. He's not into doing his own mods too much, and isn't into body mods much at all.

I sent her an email suggesting the following:

Brenspeed car cover $120
UDP's - $250-300 installed per local speed shop who does gift certificates
Xcal 3 w/ tunes - $380

Thanks again...
