Bama tune vs short throw shifter

I wanted an opinion on my next mod. I have AM credit and am not sure which way I should go. I have a 2011 5.0 manual with Barton bracket and CAI and exhaust.

I would definitely get the short throw shifter to start!

Have you turned off your Traction Control and AdvancedTrac?

I did recently, and my car feels like a monster with it off! feels like a completely different ride with it all off.

of course, play with care I wouldn't do that in wet/slippery conditions.

I have. I take it off when is dry and I also took it off when I went to the autocross track and the drag strip.

I say use the credit on something appearance or hood struts and get an MGW. That's what I did because I'd rather have peace of mind knowing that I have a better shifter unit than stock than voiding my engine warranty. If anything goes wrong withe the trans, chances are it will still be cheaper to fix than replacing an engine. A quality hand-made shifter is a big improvement over the junky stock one anyway. My 2 cents.
