Angry Bad luck strikes again... Vinyl stripe chipped..

I just can't seem to get a break... Anyways so yesterday I was at target and was parking when I saw this amazing Boss 302 in white with black stripes. Naturally I wanted to park next to my more powerful brethren. However there was a huge mark from a obviously very ill bird releasing its rancid bowels upon my flawless hood. It was raining and was fairly cold for where I am, and I took out my towel and started whipping it away. Anyways I wasn't rubbing very hard since the bird crap was thankfully coming out pretty easily. But nevertheless part of the vinyl chipped off. Right there. So easily. I looked online and every site sells the entire package, I was wondering if their was anywhere I could get just the side stripe or a solution that makes it look at least better than what it is. I'm not looking to spend a whole ton.

I would leave it alone until summer. It chipped because of sudden temperature changes stressing the vinyl.

If to really bugs you now: Go to a vinyl shop and have them lay that one piece. Cost you about 40 bucks in labor.

It's pretty small. If you could find a close paint match, you could use that.

welcome to the world of not painted stripes. Mine already look like crap on both the front and back bumpers of my Mustang. Hoping they look passable for at least two years before I redo them.

I love the look of stripes, but the cost to do them and its maintenance is enough to scare me off. That chip would drive me nuts. Knowing how **** I am, I'd probably get that particular strip redone, or the whole car painted instead of vinyl.

I know I have OCD and these things bother me when they happen to my car. I try to look at it as a car ages it has character imperfections like we do as we age. My 17 year old Lincoln Towncar DD has gotten plenty over the years but still gets lots of compliments.
