Which Axle back for 2013 5.0
A buddy of mine just purchased a 2013 5.0 the other day and wants to get an aftermarket exhaust. Being that I don't have a 5.0 I'm not familiar with the best exhaust system that fits his WANTS. My buddy is looking for a system that is somewhat loud, deep tone but not a lot of interior drone. A deep rumble tone is a must for his sound and more important that just loud or pitchy.
Also, my buddy is leaning more towards a axle back system over a cat back system. Based on his wants any suggestions on which axle back set up would be best for this. He did seem to like the Flowmaster American Thunder.

A lot of votes will get cast for the GT500 axle backs and resonator deletes. Just put them on myself and are great! Haven't cut the resonators yet but it's coming!
No drone, virtually stock sounding at 70 MPH but definitely let everyone know your there when you stomp on it.

I've heard the Borla stingers on the 5.0, they sound really good. Really deep rumble, and not obnoxiously loud either. I've also heard the combo of gt500 axle backs and boss side exhaust.. those also sound really good. Lastly I've also heard the GT500 axlebacks just by themselves... they sound okay, but they're not that deep or loud. This is just what I've seen/heard, others experience may be different.
But my favorite are still the borla's

I run the GT500's and love them with cat delete and JBA h-pipe.
Though its really personal preference. There is also a sticky with a host of different exhaust notes.
here's mine.

Another vote for the Roush. I have them on mine and love the sound. No drone, relatively quiet at idle and loud when you get on it. I feel the online videos do not really convey the true sound.

Seriously, you have 2,000 posts and are asking this? Pretty sure they're all deep exhaust threads; I don't remember seeing any high-pitched ricer imitation exhaust threads.

It's all good. GT500 throaty goodness for a good price. I like the fat chrome slash tips too. It's the best starting point for the first upgrade, want louder? Go Roush. Want to spend a lot of cash? Buy Corsa.
