OP, if they cut all the way through maybe you could get the duct tape on the underside of the outer roof layer, press it down good and maybe some black silicone spread at the cut edges. Might not look as bad for now till Saturday

Since my car is insured in Germany, it works as follows: if it was a theft (even if they only took some chewing gum), it would be covered through my partial cover with a lower deductible and not hurt my premium. If it's just vandalism, it will be covered through the fully comprehensive with a higher deductible and my premium will go up.

So maybe they took something after all... :-)

For a temp fix, go to a fabric store and buy a jeans patch; the kind you iron on when you have a hole in your jeans. My mom used to use these to patch the holes in the knee area of my jeans; before it was cool to have holes all over the jeans like today.

Might want to get the insurance agent to do their thing first, then iron on a patch.

You can probably buy a piece of vinyl and just glue it on with some fabric adhesive. The same thing happened to my friends except the a-holes that broke into his were even dumber cuz they had to cuz the top 3 different times until they finally got it in the perfect spot for them to reach the lock. Lol.
Anyway, that's how my buddy fixed his and its been rain proof for about 2 years now. Lol. He was able to do it from the bottom side to make the patch almost unnoticeable.

Well, finally got my hands on some black duct tape and went to town with it... not pretty, but it'll keep the rain out for now.

I'm sorry, truly. My mind works in bad ways.

That so sucks. Humans are so irritating sometimes. I got mine spraypainted, and another car's driver's window got popped out by an imbecile tryin' to get in with a pry bar I guess. I feel your irritation.

That made me smile... :-) I guess I'm over the initial shock! And the outlook that it will be dropped off at the shop on Monday makes me feel better. Hope it will turn out nice!

**** that sucks. Hopefully it's covered and insurance doesn't give you crap. I think that is a first that I have seen going through the Vert top to get into a car.
