Anyone use Torco octane booster?

I've never used any before but I have a case I bought cheap and was considering a trip to the drag strip and possibly a can of Torco... Any experience with this product? Thanks!

Well its not an octane boost per say , but concentrated race fuel. I have used it along with some data logging on a E46 M3 to compare the car with 91+ Torco and 95 octane unleaded. The data logged showed no timing pulled with the Torco vs. the 95 octane mix that I was running. I know some 600+rwhp GT500s and C5 FI Vettes that run this stuff as it is tough to get good gas here in Cali and they do so with great results.

However, it will turn your plugs and combustion chamber a nice shade of orange if you use a lot of it.

How cheap can you get it? Are you talking about the Torco Unleaded Accelerator?

Yes, it's the accelerator but I bought it from a friend who sold his camaro last week so kind of a one time deal. He gave me 6 quarts for $60 and told me that's half of what he paid...

Torco is great, used to run it on my Gen2 Lightning and it worked better than 104 unleaded race gas/pump gas mix and the per gallon cost after mixing was less too, still have 3 quarts on the shelf.

Question is, do you really need the extra octane?

If not then it is just a waste to run it.

Torco is out of business. I'm guessing there isn't a whole lot of that stuff floating around these days. We now use a product from vp called c5 to add to our premium 100% gas (no ethanol) to boost it to 95 octane. I'm sure the vp product is available in smaller quantities then the 54 gallon drums we buy it in.
