Just wondering if I need a tune for that? I'm having one installed for $350 labor...Is that a fair price?
Thanks!

Don't see why you would need a tune for a two-step and a shift cut-out.

There is an issue with newer cars throwing a misfire code when using the wotbox.
You may need to get an updated tune to cancel that out.
I've run the wotbox for two years and love it!

What did it cost for the install? What if I don't mind the misfre codes? They can't do damage can they?

Physically no it can't do damage by cutting spark when it does it's job, but I don't know if the car goes into limp mode when it sees the misfire, if it doesn't go into limp mode and you don't mind the CEL till you get an update it should be fine...
Besides having a two step, spark cut rev limiter, window switch, shift light , and a no lift shift feature causing me to shift like butter, I would say the only drawback is trying to stay off the pedal and getting horrible MPG.

So, I'm not 100% on what this does, but the way I understand it, engage system, hit gas, run to redline, depress clutch while holding down gas pedal (WOTBOX cuts ignition), shift, release clutch.
Win?

Yes, it cuts the spark for you while you kick the clutch in, resulting in a very smooth quick shift and it's safer than powershifting.
It's basically assisted powershifting but since it cuts the torque the moment you hit the clutch it kind of saves the stress of real powershifting on the trans/synchros.

I installed it myself in about 2 hours.

Nice shifting!!
How is it a shift light and window switch?

You run a cable to the number 2 and 6 pin and you can set the shift light rpm in the software, window switch because it has the features and is wired to your TPS so it knows where your pedal/rpm is. you can read more about it here...

Here is a screenshot of the software on my laptop, very easy to use...
Nothing else in the industry does that much things for the price...
It's a 5 in one, I use the two-step, no lift shift and spark cut rev-limiter. (safer than the OEM limiter cutting fuel when going FI)
Also the wotbox makes it so turbo guys can hold boost through a shift.
very popular mod with almost anyone who loves drag racing.

Thanks! That's awesome.
Is it the cable that's supplied with the WOTBOX? What if the rev limiter is set by the tune my car is running and is different then what I set on the WOTBOX?

example: my sct x3 limiter is set to 6800rpm, my wotbox limiter is set to 6600rpm, so my car will never see the 6800rpm limiter because it will hit the wotbox first... and as far as macs I think there is software to emulate windows programs, but I don't think they have software for macs.
