Anyone notice this HUGE fail...?
The distance of the alarm system... I can't be more than about 20 yards at absolute max from my car or I can not lock or unlock my 2011...
Anyone else notice this? Anyone else disappointed?
and have any of you swapped out for an after market system with more than a 60 foot range? if so, which brand did you choose?
I'm considering getting the remote start / security system I had on my '92 GT, had over 1,000 foot range

Step 1: Lay low near Jason's car
Step 2: Wait for Jason to disarm his car from hundreds of feet out
Step 2b: Banana for trunk monkey
Step 3: Boost all his ****
Step 4: Run like hell fat boy!!!!!

I don't mean to go off topic, but I have a question.
Okay, so when you get out of your car and press the lock button twice, it locks the car and arms (indicated by the horn honk), right?
After that, a few seconds later, my car horn honks again, but the sound is audibly fainter. Do any of you guys' cars do that?

Wow, I wonder if they completely changed the keyless remote system in the 2011 models. On my 2010 I can lock and unlock the car from sixty yards away, on the second floor of my apartment building, inside, . . . on a rainy night.
Also my horn only honks if I hit the lock button twice and doesn't honk again.

I'll go with the weak battery suggestion. I can lock/unlock the Mustang from a loooong way off, but I have to be right on top of the Taurus with my fob to do anything. Wife's key is better.
