Numbers, marks, and what not are normal factory markings. For different reasons. The dented resonator however isn't factory

Actually I think that the dented resonators are factory. Can't remember what the reason was, but they are all like this.

Yes one of the resonators has been found to be dented almost universally. An all those marks are on all the cars too. They've been doing it for years. Especially things like the LCA bolts and driveshaft and all kinds of stuff really. At least you know somebody was looking and checking something when they marked it. Instead of never looking and having no marks at all.

Everyone has dented resonators. One is on top and the other is dented on the bottom. At least it's that way on the 5.0's

If you like harsh or raspy exhaust, take 'em off. I love my GT500 ABs, they sound 'just right' with the Boss quad pipes.

Should you ever attend a show where they judge on originality, you'll see the judges looking for these crayon marks, and restorers going to great lengths to replicate them.

I had a 61 Vette years ago at a Cypress Gardens show. I was entered in the Bloomington survivor series, and I lost points because I removed smears of glue from the trunk seal when I was detailing the car one weekend. I thought a previous owner did this when they applyed glue to replace the seal. Come to find out, the factory workers used a brush to apply the weatherstripping glue to install the rubber. I lost 4 points for that mistake!

I just had my resonators removed yesterday and replaced with 3 inch pipe....my exhaust work is finally complete.

I have Flowmaster Outlaws with the Boss side pipes, sounds perfect to me

Might be good for someone who is doing a restore on one of these Mustangs 30 years from now!
