Someone told me on the auto's there is drone at 1500 rpm's. Any truth auto owners?

 

I don't own an auto but I've driven my car around town in higher gears at low speed and it's pretty quiet. Not much louder than stock unless you get on it.

 

Dude...just for you, I jumped in my car and went cruising at 1500 rpms...absolutely no drone...NONE!!...if you want, I can post a video

 

I know you are asking about gt 500 axel backs but I have the Roush and there is no drone at all and I have an auto GT

I have had Magnaflow, Corsa (also no drone but fit probs), custom Flowmaster Super40 on my 2011 GT Auto. I now have the GT500 (M-5230-MGTCA1). Be careful as you want factory stock 2011 GT500 mufflers and they do sound great with no drone. Hunt for a good price - LateModelRestoration has for $269. Only negatives are weight, stock type large body with simple slash cut tip. The auto presents a different set of problems for drone due to lugging in varous gears - for me the problem area was about 1200 to 2000 region and not so much the constant 2000 highway cruise. Enjoy the hunt and report what you end up with.
