American Quarter Horse Assoc. $500 Rebate

According to Edmunds.com, if you belong to the AQHA for at least 60 days prior to buying a 2011 Mustang ($40 adult membership dues for 1 year) you can get an additional $500 rebate!!! Apparently good until January 3 2011.

However, according to the AQHA website it says:
Ford Rebate for AQHA Members

Access the private $500 American Quarter Horse Association Member cash offer off the purchase or lease of any 2008, 2009 or 2010 model year Ford or Lincoln Mercury vehicle through the end of 2010 (excluding Shelby GT500, Shelby GT500KR, Harley Models, hybrids and Final Pay units).

So Edmunds says it's good on the 2011 and the AQHA says 2008,9 or 10 model years.

Food for thought!!!!!!

I expect my car within 60 days, so I won't test it out but it may be a great saving for someone down the line...

Just be aware that most private offers are mutually exclusive. For instance you cant usually combine it with the Police Rebate for instance. However you can combine it with any of the normal public offers. Ford/AQHA have had an ongoing relationship for awhile. I suspect AQHA hasnt updated their website yet. I imagine they will be doing so shortly as their members seem like a prime market group for the 2011 SuperDuty.

We seldom see AQHA members in our dealership, but I have that rebate noted on our website and in a lot of the emails I send out on behalf of our dealership. They've been offering the AQHA rebate for a few years now.

What is the brochure rebate considered? I'm guessing private but for $500 it's worth a try.

And thank you for all your work Gene! I'm doing anything I can so I can maybe get the car with a little bit of summer left for me to enjoy it.

EDIT:
Nevermind, just caught your comment in another thread:
