After purchase Performance Package?
I haven't even gotten the car yet, and I'm already thinking about mods...I really have been reading these forums too long.
Since most of us V6 purchasers seem to be getting the 3.31 gears up front...is there any reason we couldn't get the rest of the Performance Package enhancements as well? The wheels, engine cover and strut tower brace will probably be available from Ford parts eventually...the suspension and possibly the brakes are from the GT...the only element missing is the unique AdvanceTrac tuning. Seems like a golden opportunity for Ford to cash in on those of us too impatient to wait for Job 2...and throw a little love to early buyers.

The Performance Package value comes mostly from the Pirelli's. The "special" traction control is worth it in itself.
If you don't plan on getting performance tires, then you can probably gather the parts. I still think the PP is a great value, though, if you can afford the patience. (See what I did there... "value".. "afford"... zing!)

PP is coming out Job 2, which means late July builds and beyond it will be available.
I'm sure with some careful hunting around in the parts websites, you can order everything and make it fit on your car. You might even want to look into just getting the FRPP FR3 suspension for the V6, 3.31 gears, and upgrade the brakes yourself.

You shouldn't have any issue finding GT take-off parts soon enough. As more people take delivery on their cars and start modifying, those parts will become available. Remember, the PP uses the GT suspension from last year, not this year. And the 2011's use the 2010 track pack setup. I'd be on the lookout for some take-off 2011 parts.
