Added x-pipe and lost drone.

Do I had a magnaflow magna pack 3" cat back installed a month ago had some drone at 2000rpm didn't mind though gave it a nice sound. Today I added a magnaflow true x-pipe and drone is gone. Anyone have similar results?

Just did an X-Pipe on mine (Bassani Axlebacks only) and it smoothed things out considerably. Softened the exhaust note a bit and made it quieter in the cabin. An X pipe makes a big difference IMO..

I had little to no drone to start with, but even less now due to the smoothed exhaust pulses..

Which Magnaflow X-pipe did you get; the one with or without cats?

Throttle response changed. With just the cat back there was like a delay or drag I noticed on clutch engagement now that is gone. CAI and tune next. C&L with bama tune.

Like Steve said, an X pipe tends to smooth things out a bit. Magnaflows, for as long as I can remember, have been a very bassy muffler. Especially with an H pipe. So it definitely seems reasonable that an X pipe would help to releive some of the drone.

While my FRPP Sports didn't drone at all with the H pipe, adding an X pipe has really quieted it down a bit at cruise and the it isn't anywhere near as bassy as it was with the H.
