Added an 11GT to my 11V6

I have both cars now so this is a comparison and not meant as a battle between both cars.

So I recently bought a used 11GT to add with my V6. I've done a ton of mods to my V6 and it's a really unique car. So based on the fact that I don't owe much left on it, and I love the car I've created, I don't want to give it up. I didn't see any purpose trading it in for a little bit off of the GT. I'm proud of driving that car.

My V8 will be mostly for racing so my V6 will continue to be my daily driver as well. I'm definitely enjoying the car. So my impressions having both cars now. The power in the V8 is awesome. I can definitely feel the difference. It's very smooth. Very deceptive for sure. My girlfriend could not believe how smooth it was. I went to pass somebody and she got scared at first saying I wouldn't make it. I'm like yes I will...lol. After executing the pass in about 2 seconds, she was like wow...I blinked and we were in front of the car.

The smoothness might also be a byproduct of this car being an automatic. My v6 is a manual, and having the 3.73 gears and LCA's on it probably make it feel not quite as comfortable of a drive for her. The manual is way jerkier. I never thought I'd enjoy driving an automatic, but it is nice also not having to deal with that junk MT-82 trannie in this car.

So now my only complaint about the V8. It is QUIET...way TOO QUIET. My v6 with it's magnaflow IMO sounds 10 times better. When accelerating in the V8 I can definitely tell it's a V8, but it just doesn't have that bite that my V6 with aftermarket exhaust has. So I really need to upgrade the exhaust on the GT asap.

I also have a supercharger in my garage right now for my V6...so next up is installing that and comparing the power again.

Great read and congrats on the new ride. What gears does your GT have?

It has the stock 3.31's. Also corrected myself above. My V6 has 3.73's in it. I think next year I will probably change out the 3.31's for 3.73's perhaps.
