6700 miles and zero issues!

Getting ready for my first oil change on my 2011 GT and have had to go back for warranty work exactly zero times! I have added 1/2 quart of oil in 6700 miles. I think that is actually pretty good! Guess it's time to go to Mobil 1.

Same here, mine has been perfect. It's a manual and shifts beautifully.

Guys - it's a little early to be tooting your horn w/o problems. Enjoy your car's honeymoon phase.

I too had a near perfect shifting 2011 GT until about 22k miles over 12-months, and THEN then it started shifting rougher, backlash icreased in 1st/2nd gear, and then later the transmission began to whine, at which point she went to the Ford dealer for inspection/repair, but came away with a new transmission.

I'm not saying everyone is going to have a problem, but after having a near problem free transmission for so many miles, I thought I was going to go without any issues at all, but that simply was not meant to be.

When my neighbor asked where my car was, I told him about the transmission and he chuckled a little. He then went on to tell that almost all the 4cyl Ford Fusion company cars his company has on lease, including his, have had to get the Auto transmissions rebuilt, all around the 20k-25k mile range.

I was not really referring to the transmission. I was talking about anything in general. How come I can't brag about my car without the tranny folks posting?

Geez....give it a rest!

Yeah...I'm very confident in the longevity of the 4.6L motors. I wouldn't be surprised to see these ripping up the tires with 200k on them.

Keep up with the "heavy duty" maintainence cycle and there should be nothing to worry about.

18k trouble free miles. The MT-82 shifts better than any transmission and I've been driving manuals for 25 yrs.
