I do not post a lot but I wanted to mention that I had a 2011 5.0 Mustang GT with an auto that was awesome. I also had a sweet 2009 Harley Electra Glide Ultra. I made the mistake of going to Ray Skillman Ford in Indianapolis (Greenwood) and ended up trading both the Ultra and the 5.0 on a new 2012 Shelby GT500. Black with white stripes. I love all Mustangs but at almost 57 years old, I figured out that I probably would not have another chance for a Shelby, so I traded. I will pick up another Harley next year and have a Yamaha Roadliner S keeping my new Shelby company in the garage now. (For those of you that like cycles as well)

I can tell you this, with only 125 miles on the Shelby, it is beyond scary fast. The 5.0 was real fast but the GT500 is unreal. And I have not even got on it hard yet. Wow!

No pics yet however if it ever stops raining, I will post some pics. I am a very blessed man to have the nice things I have. I hope all of you are as happy as I am! I am very lucky to have a great wife and some great toys!

Thanks Sharpie! No mods yet and the standard package. Like the ride and no plans to track the car, so the standard package is what I wanted. Kinda like the wheels & wide stripes of the standard as well, but they all look great. How do you like yours? What color combo? Take yours to the track?

Congrats man! They are great cars, mine just hit 900 miles and so far it is one of the most fun cars I've ever owned. Just a pleasure to drive. I'll probably never track mine either, but I got the SVTPP because I loved the wheels so much, and I actually ended up liking the narrow stripes much more in person than I did in the first pics I saw. I always liked the wide stripes on the 07-09, but on the 10+ they looked almost too wide for my tastes. Don't know if they are wider, or if they just appear to be since the body update.

Would love to see pics of yours. Black with white is an interesting combo, don't know that I've ever seen that one.

DO NOT make an AUTOMATIC!! And at the Drag Strip the AUTO 5.0's Always Win the Race.. :-)

Yes, they make different options for different tastes. They are all good, just different. It is suppost to be dry here tomorrow (What a Change!) and I will try and get some pics of it.

Glad your enjoying yours and have a some miles on it. I have had mine for about 2 weeks and really only had it out once. I have about 125 miles on it.

Nothing at all wrong with the autos by a long shot. Glad your happy with yours. The 5.0 I traded in was an auto as well!
