400A or 401A Pkg?
If I decide to go the 401A route, I guess I have to have a colored stripe in the seat?
Any thoughts on either seat? I hear the leather in the 401A is more prone to wrinkles?

Good luck picking all the options. It's so hard to be frugal when ordering. I was lucky to have ordered a 2013 when I did. It took only 6 weeks to arrive, plus I bought it for X-plan, less another $2750 in Ford incentives.

I got the 401a package with charcoal/blue stripes to match the grabber blue paint. I haven't noticed any wrinkling yet (5 months). It was a must have when I ordered my GT, but to be honest, after the first couple of weeks, I no longer notice the seats at all.
I seem to recall seeing that Ford is no longer taking orders for the 2013s.

Ugh, I hear you. I was trying REALLY hard to stick to my price point but with all of the options I want, I'm finding myself surpassing that.

I'm in 6 months now with my 401A and the white stripe looks the same as the day I bought it new also no wrinkling on the leather. Also I think the leather is smother then the 400 leather I think at leat on the 2010 to 2102 models only.

I picked the 400a because the look reminded me of my 1967 Mustang. The quality of the 401a leather looks amazing. I'd have to agree with the Recaro seat recommendation. If that and the track pack were available in a 2012...........

I like the 400A and Recaro's .. but prefer the Charcoal Dash of the 401A. I have 400A interior in my car and swapped out the Aluminum dash inserts for the 401A charcoal inserts. Got them from one of the Salvage yards selling on eBay for cheap.

I ordered the 401A package on both my 2010 and 2013 .I like the stripe, the dash accents and the shifter plus the stitching matches the stripe. 400A is nice but it is seen in most mustangs and is really old school. As for the leather Recaros ,in my opinion they are rather bulky ,no heat and no power adjustment. I'm not going to the track so they really don't appeal to me.

Well, I made my mind up...
I sat in several 5.0s this past weekend and came to the conclusion that recaros are the seats for me. Considering the fact that this car is not going to be my daily driver, I've decided to go with a base GT, track pack, cloth recaros, 300A interior, spoiler delete, side scoops and louvers...BLACK. If this were going to be my daily driver, I would want more options but I hear from many owners on here they they love the 300a/recaro option.
To each, their own.

I think you made a great choice. I like the 300a interior. Like you said, it's not your dd. There is no reason to pay for things you don't need. Those Recaros are amazing.

The Recaro's are nice. Yeah I miss the power adjustments (and heat, a little) but the are very comfortable, and entirely supportive. Mine's my DD, and I don't regret these seats at all.
