400 RWHP CLUB... Tell us how!
Ok gang. I know that steeda, brenspeed, American Muscle and the like are reporting absolutely impressive results with their products. I'm sure they are all honest people, but they are selling a product. There have been some great reviews using the highly subjective butt dyno, but few posts with hard numbers.
So I thought I'd create a thread for those of you who have attained the substantial goal of 400 ponies (if you're over 390 chime in as well) at the rear tires. Give us your secrets, because many of us covet your achievements.
If you're running a manufacturers package, give us a sense of your results with it. Also if you're running one of these with less than spectacular results, you might want to chime in as well. Don't bash, but inform honestly.
SUGGESTED INPUT:
Baseline HP
Mods
Dyno results
Rate Drive-ability
Problems encountered (limp home, check engine light...)

Ill start. I have no stock dyno numbers but I ran 13.0@110mph stock at the track. I have added,
Steeda CAI
Brenspeed 93 tune
Roush Mufflers
Dyno numbers 399HP and 380TQ SAE
Driveability and throttle response are AWESOME!!!
I have no track numbers yet. Coming soon.
I spent less than $1,000 so far on mods.

Here are some HARD numbers for you...
Video of my current car's mods

Stock vs tune ONLY - ~400-450
![](http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y138/VetteLover1954/93TuneVsStock.jpg?t=1286942981)
Same Tune as before, added Stainless Works Full Exhaust - Not cheap, but she sounds evil. You could probably delete your cats for 10whp, but I cant stand the sound/smell of a catless car
![](http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y138/VetteLover1954/SWFullExhaust.jpg?t=1286943088)
JLT Intake - $350
![](http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y138/VetteLover1954/JLTIntake.jpg?t=1286943114)
Stock vs Current
![](http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y138/VetteLover1954/StockvsIntakeTuneExhaust.jpg?t=1286943131)
Bear in mind, dynos are just a tool, not a trophy. Every dyno reads different. The trakc is where power is proven

Know a guy on the forum with an auto ( Jack's 07) who got 400rwhp. He has a Steeda intake, VMP dyno tune, or x pipe. Pretty impressive for an auto with those few mods.

I'm pretty impressed with the ease/lack of expense that is involved in getting 400 ponies to the rear.
Look at the new BOSS... 440 hp. 455 at the crank x .88 (representing 12% loss) equals right at 400. But on the boss they have worked the heads and created a new intake as well as tuning and other things for 440..... WTF???
