2014 Hood Shake

2014 Hood Shake
My 2014 V6 Mustang gets hood shake when I'm going at highway speeds (70+). I thought it was maybe just the design of the front end causing it. Then my wife got a 2014 convertible and she says she doesn't get hood shake with her car.
Anyone else have this problem?

First I've hear of it. I would take it back to the dealership and have them check it. Probably just a loose bolt, but you don't want to mess with something the warranty covers, especially if the loose bolt turns into a warped bracket.

On the way home I was doing 80 and it didn't shake. I wonder if it's the road or strong south winds we get in Oklahoma. I'll lift the hoods of mine and my wife's cars and compare to see if I can notice a difference this weekend.

Not sure where you got your info from but pretty sure the vents were added for better engine cooling. First time I hear that 2011-2012 Mustang suffer from hood shake.

High pressure air under the good was causing some hoods to flutter. I agree that cooling should be helped as well

I see others have mentioned the same reason for the vents.

Hood Shaking
I am glad I found this forum! My hood started shaking three days ago and everyone tried to tell me it was my front end- even though only the hood was shaking. I adjusted the hood stops a little and IT WORKED!! Thank you all!!

I have been having the same issue with my 2014 Mustang V6. First trip to Ford they said a left driver side fender shield was broke, after balancing my tires to check for a problem there. Cost me $110 for "cosmetic" repair even tho I only have 25k miles on the vehicle, have only owned it 10 months and never have been involved in any fender bender. Continued to have hood shaking at 70+mph, took it back in, got a call today saying the whole underneath shield is broken, causing air to get underneath causing hood shake. Not sure how much this one is going to cost me out of pocket yet. My theory is that I bought a wrecked car. Needless to say, I'm not a happy camper.
