2014 Gt Track Pack Oil Specs... Fords specification?

I have looked every where but I can not seem to find the Ford specification for the Track pack oil requirements. All I can find it 5w / 50 and an API rating?

Is this the 5W-50 spec you’re looking for: WSS-M2C931-B

Image is taken from my 2014 owners manual, dated January 2014.

Silverstate Thank you. I could not find that in the downloadable manual.

I am looking for oils that meet that spec. After researching seems that if you put oil back in that has more zinc than the normal oils then you will not get the famous tick.

Thankx

and I'm curious to hear more. I have plans to start using Mobil 1 15W-50, which is a racing oil had has more zinc starting next year.

I'm using 5W-30 RP HPS. I can't get Amsoil or Motorcraft over here. It works well for me so far and I can get it in 5QT jugs for $35.

NAPA is running a special on Mobil One for September of $5.99 a quart and they make 5W50. It beats the $9 a quart you'll pay for Motorcraft plus it's better oil.

According to Mobile the 5W50 does not pass the Ford spec. I am wondering why so many oils do not pass?

Maybe Mobil 1 is too good for Ford spec?

Seriously though, do you know what part of Ford specs M1 doesn't pass? The general consensus here seems to be that M1 is better than any Motorcraft oil (and so are Amsoil, Pensoil etc). Also hare is a good informative thread on oil lab results:

I just checked a bottle of Motorcraft 5W50 vs Mobil One 5W50 and they both have an API rating of SN. Typically as long as oil meets the engineering spec of the oil specified in your owners manual it is a suitable replacement. I also checked the Mobil One website and they do not break out track pack cars and only list 5W-20. Since I have 6 cases of Mobil One - i'm using it.
