Yeah but part of the appeal of the 13 lights is that they aren't crooked on the bottom.

 

I saw this '13 race red vert on Saturday. Rear panel on red doesn't look to bad. I still not a fan of the panel or painted rockers

 

Different colors really make a difference in how the angle shows or not on the '13.

Part of what's going on with the back is what drove me to order mine in black. Looks like it'll blend better.

 

I think the white and black looks good from the rear end

 

Can we get our photoshop crew in here to see what the 13 rear will look like when we paint the license plate plastic cladding the same color as the car. Im sure who ever fulfills this request first will be widely praised for there efforts. For this is probably the most unpopular addition to the new mustang.

 

Am I the only one on here that the black lp surround doesn't bother? It's not the prettiest thing on here but it doesn't bother me that much. The rest of the car is still amazing

Doesnt bother me at all. Would have gotten a blackout panel anyway so its saving me the trouble.

Oh lp surround. Im somehow misreading everything today. No, sorry, Ill be replacing that ASAP! lol

 

I'm going to wait and see what mine looks like on a black car before I replace it. But as I mentioned elsewhere in threadville, one of the reasons I went with black was because of the blackout panel and the l.p. surround. If it still doesn't look good enough, I'll have to go with an aftermarket fix. It will be the only mod I do to the car for the life of the warranty, but one that may be very necessary.

 

Black is the only body color I'd probably leave it on. Before replacing the rear bump/valance (b/c I have more important things to buy first) I'm going to paint the lp surround gloss black, which would probably just fade into a black body (mine is GB). That would be a super easy "mod" and barely a mod at all if you're going for all stock. As soon as I paint it, which will be within a week of pickup, which should be in less than a month, I'll post a pic. Maybe wait to see if you like it and maybe someone else will even do it first (or has done it already...anyone?).

 

It will look different with a license plate breaking it up.
