You really should just invest in a proper floor jack.

I got a low-profile one (heavy as kufc) from Harbor Freight, it's been working great.
Only part that sucks about it is its 75-lb weight.

At a recent mod party:
The jack stands are not in the picture, but I got them from HF too, and so far they've worked great:

I don't understand why you couldn't just get a proper low profile high quality jack? They cost under 150 at sears.

Lol, it took stuffing the trunk, the right rear seat, and the right front seat to fit all that in the Mustang. We were gonna try to install a bunch of suspension parts but didn't quite work out that day - too cold and windy

Normally I just have a box with a couple of things in it in there ...

Lol I was thinking that has to be a lot of added weight

It made the back end of the car sit at least 1/4" lower. I measured, but not till after I had already removed a fairly heavy tool box. I think everything together weighed over 200 lbs ...

The last floor jack I bought blew a pump seal and dropped the car faster than you could move out of the way. I was in the process of getting the jack stands ready for insertion when the car dropped. Luckily, it landed on the tires and not me. No damage done.

It would be nice if you could jack these cars up like in the old days, rear end housing and "K" member, rather than the pinch welds.

This thread is a year old. I guess the current MSRP for this kit is now about $277

Autonation Ford has it for $213 + shipping: http://parts.autonationfordwhitebear...&siteid=214771

Yeah, it's an old thread...

I think the distinguishing thing that determined whether you got a jack/spare/etc. or not was the size of your stock wheels, no? Bigger than 18" wheels = no spare IIRC, but I forget now, this was a concern to me too when I ordered my '13 about 18 months ago.

Just bought one for the daughter and it comes with the tire inflator kit. It's freakin bogus if you ask me. So the only cars that come with a jack and spare are non Brembo 2013 GTs.
My 2013 base came with a spare and my 2014 Premium has a spare also. My brother-in-laws 2012 base didn't come with a spare tire. I'm not sure why some came with spares and others came with an air pump and "fix-a-flat".

Floor jack? It's a helluva lot quicker and easier than hand-cranking a scissors jack up.

Had a flat on my lowered '13 GT yesterday. Could not get the jack under the side skirt.

Mine came with the inflator. I grabbed a spare off of ebay and a scissor jack from orielly's. The jack fits under the spare with a little work.
