You first time buyers of a Mustang scare me a little.

Some of you guys jumping into Mustang's have never owned a Rear Wheel Drive car, and even less likely one with a solid rear axle.

Regardless, I hope all you first time Mustang buyers love your cars!

congrats on your orders. What kind of delivery time are you expecting?

Odd post KN76 how do you know what they have driven before? What makes you think they won't be able to handle it. Before you ever drove a rear wheel car, had you ever driven a rear wheel drive car before??

Nope, not my first muscle car. Not my first rear drive either. In fact, my DD is a pickup. A few years ago I sold my 66 chevelle SS, so the stang won't be anything I can't handle

I looked over the spec sheet and price lists posted here https://themustangsource.com/f726/20...-lists-502974/ and decided what I wanted. Walked into the dealer with that info and placed my order.

What I meant was,
build it online and print it out bring it to dealer so that you dont have to sit in dealership for 4 friggin hrs with a salesman thats as dumb as a ***** F**r.
But the build it feature isnt avaiable on Ford site. I mean Jeesh isnt that part of the reason they created that?

I knew what you meant.... I understand because as a kid, my dad ordered like 3 mustangs at the dealership...... goodness gracious, did that take a long time! Dealers.. its funny we know more about the car we're purchasing than they do Like when my dad was gonna purchase 2011 5.0 Premium, he told the guy he wanted a black one with 3.73s and Brembos w/ interior upgrade package. The guy stood there like an idiot and said, "I didn't even know they made 2011s yet."

Easy, some of us have had much more expensive cars to drive with just as much power....Even us exotic car owners like to a stang from time to time.

I look forward to slapping the pirelli snowtires in my 2013 once it gets here.

Order my ragtop a few weeks ago myself ...can't wait to see this bucket of bolts

The site will update around March or April, UnrealFord. In the mean time, the guys on this forum have posted some good info to help you all out. Once you place your order, you can PM me with your dealer's name and order number so I can help you track it.

I ordered a 2013 race red mustang 5.0 premium but have not received an order number, vin # etc. Went to the dealership today but was advised that they were still waiting on the order number and vin #. i placed the order on January 16, 2012 is that normal?

Yea man, were all in the same boat. Doesn't matter when you ordered it, since were all retail orders we shouldn't expect to see a VIN or schedule for another week or 2. The first round of stock orders take priority.

Yes because his dealer ordered the car for STOCK (type 1). He has no obligation to buy because they can just sell it off the lot like they're supposed too. Clearly this is the fastest way to get a 2013 Mustang.

You can get a VOC with your order# from your dealer but it wont get you anything until VINs roll out in a few weeks, from what I hear. But you should have an order# so you can get that info, though maybe your dealer normally provides all that at once.
