2013 GT - losing coolant

Need some help. My 13 GT seems to be losing coolant, but I don’t see any obvious leaks or puddles under the car. No white smoke when driving and my oil doesn’t look “milky.” I’m sending an oil sample to Blackstone to verify but any thoughts on what it could be?

Yeah, that's probably a head gasket. You can go rent (free when returned) a coolant pressure tester and a coolant exhaust gas tester and find out. It won't milkshake, and it won't smoke except maybe higher RPM, but it's still there, seeping coolant into the cylinder(s), exhaust gas getting into the coolant. Just enough to be noticeable, but not enough to be obvious. And you want to nip that in the bud, because if it is a head gasket it's going to get worse and that right quick.

You might consider taking that to a reputable mechanic if you're not inclined to play that game, either the testing or the replacing.

Hope that helps!

Pull spark plugs and look to see if any of them looks unusually clean. A head gasket leak will basically steam clean the plug. While the're out do a compression check. If a gasket blows between cylinders both cylinders will be down. A small external leak may not leave puddles since engine heat may evaporate it. Look for the obvious stuff too like hoses and the radiator.

had this happen to me, took it to the dealer and found out it was the thermostat housing T-connector that was cracked. Mine did not show obvious signs of leaking.

Ford has come out with an updated aluminum one

sorry for reviving a dead thread but ford did not redesign the new t-connector and it is still used on the 5.0L 2021 versions....Dorman products redesigned it, i just purchased one for my car but i also priced the o-rings for the radiator hoses do not buy from ford 30 dollars for the one for the top hose and it is back ordered for 3 weeks.....the only part i didn't pick up is the water pump which i will do tomorrow just so i can replace all cooling system components

**Update** i got the repair fixed seemed all it was was a couple o-rings for the upper rad hose and t-connector but as i replaced the t-connector with the upgraded one i only needed 1 o-ring $17.57 at ford or $14.29 at lordco for 3pack. Oh and ford stopped manufacturing the orange coolant for these cars and sell a yellow variant that is compatible, going to have cooling system flushed when i insure it
