2013 GT Exhaust

Hello guys and gals. I just recently purchased a 2013 GT, 1600 miles on it, and I'm looking for some advice on what might be the best axle back mufflers to get. I'm old school and loved the way Flowmasters sounded on my '93 GT. Anyone using Flowmaster?

Hey,

Congratulations on your new purchase! I know you are going to love it.

Flowmasters do sound awesome on these cars and I'm confident you will love them. They still deliver that great deep tone they are known for.

You may also want to look at some of the Borla systems, they also deliver that rich old school muscle car tone. Finally, take a look at the Roush system as well, this is a different tone than either of the other mentioned systems, but this is by far our best selling system for these cars.

Check out our site, we have sound clips to many of the axle backs on the market today. I hope this helps, and if you have any other questions, feel free to get in touch. Good luck!

The only problem I found with the Flowmasters is the drone in the cabin at cruising speeds. I suggest you go to You Tube, and search "2013 Mustang GT exhaust videos". Some of the audios are not good, but other will give you a good idea of what they sound like. The Wifey just picked out the Ford Racing GT500 mufflers for hers. Good luck.

Also, the American Muscle web site has a good selection of mufflers, some with sound clips that may help. They also have some very good prices.

Gt500 axleback are great and cheap $300 or so. I looked on youtube for 3 week for the sound I wanted for my '14 gt. 2 weeks after that I did the resonator delete and love the sound. Deep at WOT and absolutely no drone inside the car
