2013 Cloth Recaro
2013 Cloth Recaro
If I got a base GT with the only upgrade being the Recaros, would that be a good decision?
I am wondering if they have height adjustment (I am only 5 7) and I also read that the passenger seat cannot be leaned forward for rear passengers to get in... is that true?

They have all the same functionality as the stock base seats, height adjustment and the backs do tilt forward and back.
Good decision-wise, you just have to decide if they are worth the $1595 option price.
I'd want them, and do want them, as a matter of fact, for my '12.

Do you think a GT base with Recaros or a GT base with the brembo brake pack would be a better deal?
I have the base + Recaros (no track pack). It's my DD and I love it. Didn't opt for the track pack because I didn't think I'd use it and my plan is to keep the car several years so resale value wasn't a consideration.
One thing about the cloth Recaros is that they are STICKY!! Trying to adjust position while driving takes a little effort. They are nice. Would get them again.

Blue is my favorite color so the choice for me was easy as long as the blue wasn't a light blue.
I also immediately put on chrome Ford GT wheels with 285 NT555's out back. I think the chrome and DIB look great together.

BTW I suspect DIB will be very popular so there will be lots around. Black is probably easier to accent with other colors to make your own. I work with a guy who has a black Grand Sport and he added purple accents. Looks great.
In the end I decided I would probably do very little, if anything, to the paint so I went with my fav.
In my mind you can't go wrong with either. I do enjoy looking out over the hood and thinking "man, that blue pops!" Puts a smile on my face every time.
